Do you have a comedian in your life? One that makes you laugh out loud?

I am blessed to have two in my immediate life- Gy and my husband.

Gy provides the natural comic relief that kids seem to have in abundance. Her comments, especially the exploratory kind, were so hilarious that  I compiled them into a detailed post

Here are a couple of my favourites:

(A)

At the Pittsburgh temple, the following dialogue took place:

Me: This is Lord Vishnu. Pray for anything that you want.

Gy: Can I ask for anything?

Me: Yes

Gy:( closes her eyes and prays for a few seconds) ok

Me: What did you ask for?

Gy: I prayed for a banana

(B)

“Gy: Amma see this bone on my back? That means I am a…

Me: not an invertebrate?

Gy: Yes! I am an outvertebrate!!

Jokes come naturally to my husband. He can turn a sombre situation into a laughter fest with some witty one-liners. He can make Gy laugh, just after I’ve had a showdown with her, over some petty issue. He can make the most comical faces and even turn my frown upside-down, by showing me how I look when I am angry. The minute I get worked up, he pulls out his camera and asks me to hold that look so he can capture it for posterity. You can picture how quickly my anger dissipates when that happens!

Truth be told, I love being the brunt of their jokes, just to see them chuckle.

Watching them be happy, ensures that my smile stay intact.
