Do you have a comedian in your life? One that makes you laugh out loud?
I am blessed to have two in my immediate life- Gy and my husband.
Gy provides the natural comic relief that kids seem to have in abundance. Her comments, especially the exploratory kind, were so hilarious that I compiled them into a detailed post!
Here are a couple of my favourites:

At the Pittsburgh temple, the following dialogue took place:
Me: This is Lord Vishnu. Pray for anything that you want.
Gy: Can I ask for anything?
Me: Yes
Gy:( closes her eyes and prays for a few seconds) ok
Me: What did you ask for?
Gy: I prayed for a banana

“Gy: Amma see this bone on my back? That means I am a…
Me: not an invertebrate?
Gy: Yes! I am an outvertebrate!!
Jokes come naturally to my husband. He can turn a sombre situation into a laughter fest with some witty one-liners. He can make Gy laugh, just after I’ve had a showdown with her, over some petty issue. He can make the most comical faces and even turn my frown upside-down, by showing me how I look when I am angry. The minute I get worked up, he pulls out his camera and asks me to hold that look so he can capture it for posterity. You can picture how quickly my anger dissipates when that happens!
Truth be told, I love being the brunt of their jokes, just to see them chuckle.

LOL @ Gy's conversations. It is really fantastic to have fun and funny people around us. One can never be angry for long when they are around! Enjoyed reading this post! ♥

your daughter's jokes are hits….lovely
Love the innocent jokes, sweet reminders that they grow up fast and this time needs to be cherished as much as possible 🙂 Your husband sounds like a swell man, lucky you.
Love the smiles here 🙂 I am also an outvertebrate 😀 😀
Hats off to her creative jokes 🙂
Banana??? She asked for a banana? She's adorable.
Banana…oh god…hehe…that one was really cute!
Enjoyed your fun post on joking, Shailaja. My sons and hubs love to poke fun at me, too, and enjoying pushing my buttons just to laugh at me when I get angry. It's hard to stay mad at them. We can't take this life too seriously and mostly we can't take ourselves too seriously. We have to laugh or we'd cry instead. I prefer laughing myself.

Whenever I have lunch or dinner with my daughter and her friends, my daughter always brings her 2 year old as he is easy to take anywhere, including restaurants. However, some people choose to “not” see children as humans in an adult world. The last time we were out and there were 3 of us and my grandson, the hostess asked is we wanted a table for 3 and without skipping a beat, my daughter's friend said “And a chair for the invisible person as well” It was a funny way to put that hostess in her place.
